NELFUND’s loan to over 1 million students, a “major lift for young Nigerians” in Tinubu’s administration – Team Renewed Hope Agenda

Stakeholders in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration has described as a ‘major life for young Nigerians’ in the President Tinubu administration, the successful disbursement of education loan to over 1 million young Nigerians.
This remark was made on Thursday during a visit to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NELFUND, Mr Akintunde Sawyerr in Abuja.

The delegation which was led by Prince Ade Omole and accompanied by Prince Adewale Akinleye and Hon. Aisha Oluwakemi Ololade commended the leadership of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund management for their rare commitment and transparent disbursement of loans to the Nigerian students.
Omole said Mr Sawyerr and his team at NELFUND understand exactly Tinubu’s heart desire for human capital development powered by sound education which should not be hiccupped by the lack of fund, stressing that disbursement was a testament of an agency that committed to its ideals.
He noted that the initiative was already easing the financial burden on families and giving more students a chance to stay in school without fear of dropping out.
Responding to the delegation’s address, Sawyerr stressed three key points driving the mandate of the NELFUND as “transparency, accountability and efficient service delivery.”
He said these values were necessary to build trust and ensure that students who genuinely need support can access it without barriers.
The NELFUND boss commended the team for spotlighting achievements of agencies of government on the global scene.
